One of Wales’s most iconic and instantly recognisable sportsmen. Ive next to no interest in rugby and never have but I’d have been surprised if the coverage was any different to what it has been. Bobby Charlton had similar treatment U.K.-wide when he died and quite right too.
 
I wish that drink driving shyte had never happened. He was a fabulous rugby player.

I remember an international in France when JPR was probably towards the end of his career. A French wing broke through and for once JPR couldn't get to him. It was testament to how highly I regarded him that I genuinely felt shock at the realisation JPR was human after all.

Rest in peace, mate. You were one of the very best.

Was it Emile Ntamack? not many stopped him in his tracks, his son is the French Flyhalf Romain Ntamack.

Not sure to be honest, I just remember Ntamack tearing down the wing torturing the opposition.

Just looked him up and he's 21yrs younger than JPR at 53 :shock:
