He gets my vote for next manager. He looks to be one of the most exciting coaches in Europe at the moment.

We were interested in him before and the Swedish league ends tomorrow so it makes sense that now would be a good time to go get him.

If we do sack Sheehan and appoint him, I'll be keeping the receipts, put it that way. But no doubt all the people starting Sheehan Out threads will be very happy with another laptop coach.

Personally, I think it would be absolutely insane to parachute a coach from a third-rate league into probably the most competitive and evenly balanced Championship season in decades.

If we had a SEMBLANCE of a plan I'd agree with you, or actually created decent chances every game.

We don't. We do fucking nothing. There's no tactical plan. It's crap Andy and I cannot see how you can defend it anymore

Potter got given a full preseason. Had parachute money.

And had several players to work with who had played Premier League or went on to play Premier League.

The club, our current squad, and the division as a whole is a totally different kettle of fish now.

Imo if keeping Sheehan is a risk of relegation, putting Hellberg in is an even greater risk.

Any manager is a risk. Potter had managed in Europe and had success there plus culturally probably was more aware of the league and what was required.

I have never seen a Hellberg team, just like I had never seen Inoussa, Widell, Yalcouye or Stamenic play before. Any time there is a new manager or player from an unknown league we only get the praise whereas with players from our league we get all their fans telling us the good or the bad or we have our own opinions from playing against them. Maybe he is the saviour of our club but there is no guarantee and he is coming from the same place as some of our signings who have underwhelmed and were presumably signed based off the same evidence by the same people.

Yes, but we're not playing about here are we.

All we've been hearing from the Sheehan Out brigade for weeks is how they're worried about relegation. They're all so concerned that that's where we're heading, despite our apparently brilliant transfer window.

So perhaps I'm alone here, but sacking the current incumbent then plonking a bloke in his place who has never even worked in English football, never mind the Championship, doesn't strike me as reducing risk of relegation. Does it?
