I don’t see that argument at all. I’m not pretending Starmer or Labour are prefect by any means but they can’t just appeal narrowly to the likes of Ebo and what he claims to be the left and expect to win an election. They tried that with Corbyn and lost. Twice. They have to build a coalition of voters and win seats across the country and that means being able to attract and keep some Tory voters as well. The only Labour leader in my lifetime able to do that was Blair and, Iraq aside, his government did some great things for what Ebo condescendingly refers to as “the workers”.

Read the Forde report Andrew. Will tell you volumes why he lost. But I guess it doesn’t suit your narrative does it?

This party will work for their donors not the working man. They’ve lost my vote.

It doesn’t matter why he lost. Fact is he did. And the Forde report doesn’t explain why he lost. That’s abject nonsense. He lost because he couldn’t attract enough voters because his appeal was too narrow. Same as Foot in 83. And I voted for Corbyn’s Labour twice, as I’m sure you did. But that’s the point. Labour isn’t going to win elections if they’re only appealing to dyed in the wool lefties like you and me. They never have and they never will. Look at your history mun. The only thing that you and your momentum comrades are doing are perpetuating Tory rule. The very thing you claim to hate most. But that’s because the hard left have always preferred opposition to governing. It’s easier that way.

I hope the right of the party self destructs over the coming months. This is not the Labour Party, it’s a centre right democrat party. He’s already gone back on all his pledges, has no plans whatsoever. He says we are a party of solving disputes. You cant solve f**k all when you’re in opposition, get behind the workers and maybe you’ll win a few votes.

Get Andy Burnham in.

Here’s a simple question would you prefer a Labour government with Starmer or the continuation of Tory government with either Sunak or Truss?

Well any hope of a Labour win at the next GE has just taken a massive dip after his decision today

There really isn’t much of a difference. Swapping one idiot for another. It’d be a zombie government like the dems in America.

We need radical policies not lukewarm Tory lite ones.
Answer the question.

I did. I said there wouldn’t be much difference. He’s got no policies or vision. He’s beyond fucking hopeless. He makes Drakeford look like a rockstar.

As for your hard left comment, that’s laughable. Corbyn was centre left.

We need socialist policies to save us. Why do you think support for Indy is growing? People have had enough of voting for traditional left parties and getting the far right in power.

Who would you prefer?

Andy Burnham. A true Labour man.

Let’s be honest here people have been moaning that Starmer isn’t strong enough to make decisions so he tells all his MP’s not to join a picket line because members of the public with their kids on school holidays are seething at trains being cancelled.
Someone does and he does exactly what people say he isn’t strong enough to do.
Funny as f*ck.

I don’t think I mentioned hard left did I? But if I did and that’s laughable your notion that Corbyn is centre left is frankly astonishing. You just keep showing your ignorance of Labour movement history. Student Union politics. Labour is better off without you.

He should NEVER have told his MP's not to join it. That is the point here.

On a serious note this is maybe the one and only chance we have to prevent the Tories Orbanising the electoral process. Those who say it can't happen only need to look at the removal of the independence of the Electoral Commission, the crack down on protest and the privatisation of Channel 4. It simply has to be the worst if a bad bunch at this stage as its probably the only chance in a generation that we can destroy FPTP and perpetual Tory rule.

He has by omission. The strident left have always preferred Tory governments so they can wail and gnash their teeth from the sidelines like Wolfie Smith whole never actually having to do anything about it. Labour’s post war history is littered with these tinpot student types.
