Fella on twitter reckons Lowe was fuming about not being allowed to go to the gold cup with Jamaica in the summer, and downed tools ever since.

No idea how reliable that is but there had definitely been a shift with his body language in my opinion.

Agree that something has happened, in his first SSN piece to camera at Bournemouth he referenced ‘with my situation at Swansea . . .’ Might just be the RM philosophy or whatever RM has said to him but he clearly jumped at the chance to exit.

That said think we’ve done well to exit Lowe & sign Obafemi on similar money.

To the Jack Army my time at Swansea has sadly come to end sooner than expected but the love I felt here has been unreal by fans, staff & my teammates! Sometimes things don’t always pan out how we expect them too but that’s the game we all know and love.. I’ve made friendships that will last a life time & made memories during my time here that I will cherish forever! Swansea will always have a special place in my heart #YJB ❤️🦢⚡

What was his excuse for most last season

More open play goals than Ayew. People can have different opinions on players etc but what can't be denied was his workrate and willingness to put a shift in for the team last season.

Workmate and willingness is a must for any player....but is all around play was not good enough, scored 14 yes but missed a lot more, and if his awareness was better other players could scored more as well.constantly lost ball in good positions resulting us being on defensive again .never showed enough when midfielders looking for an outlet..played for himself not team..

I think to deny he looked promising in terms of developing into the real deal would be unfair. Really had hopes for him here. Some of the goals he scored were top notch. If Sterling or Kane scored them the papers would be creaming themselves. In a lot of games though, and for quite a while now, he has been totally invisible. So disappointing, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him rise again, but I’m not sure Muff will be where he does it. He might be a bit, um, languid, for their liking. I suppose that we’ve never seen him in a team that actually attacks, so who knows.

He's a decent player, did well for us, did tangle his feet a few times in situations, but still a good player worked hard and always give his best, good luck to him.

Did very well at times but I always thought he was capable of more. Self belief seems to be an issue for him from my perspective. I honestly think if he believed in himself more he would have achieved more.

Martin has now revealed Lowe was keen to leave south Wales in the final stages of the summer window after being the subject of numerous transfer enquiries.

"I spoke to Jamal on Sunday because I’d had a few calls about people being interested in him and him expressing a desire to go somewhere else," said the Swans boss.

"I asked him outright. He was really honest and he said he would like to go because he feels maybe he doesn’t fit into the system completely. He’d had interest from a couple of clubs.

"I want people who really want to be at the club. I have no ill-feeling towards Jamal. He’s got a move which feels is good for him.

"The club have been able to replace him with Michael which probably suits us a little bit more. He is young asset and can be a real asset to the club.

"It made sense to allow Jamal to go. He did a great job last year, playing in a formation that we don’t play.""

Don't get that one bit, what formation do we play en ffs?, makes sense to let a player who scored 14 goals last season in a low goal scoring season for the team to go. Is he real :x
