14+ goals a season strikers, are not that easy to find.

This is a strange one when you think about it

He scored 14 last season in a side devoid of creativity
We all think we will end up being more creative this season by the nature of the game Martin wants to play
And yet most people will not believe Lowe is the man to score 14+ goals a season.

Personally I would say he is bang average at this level but if he guaranteed me 14 goals this season I'd take it.

I just think people think we can go out and buy a 20 goal a season player, just like that.

Football fans always want someone new to come in, and transfer deadline day just fuels their "Christmas Eve" I want shiny new things attitudes. Because if someone said we were bringing in a 14 goal championship striker from another side, they'd be landed with it.

People seem to forget that Martin doesnt seem to really rate Lowe
Martin wants the right people in, and apart from Grimes and Roberts everyone thats been linked away he seems to have instigated or been happy with leaving
Its a rebuild season, a season of consolidation and getting back to a successful way of playing that led us from League 1 to the Prem in 4 years

Piroe has already looked more than capable of getting into double figures so if he's going to be the main man in the middle up front, where would Lowe play? Presumably wide left and if so, would he get 14 goals from that position anyway?

Whilst I think he's a decent enough player, I don't think we was ever going to fit into the sort of team that Martin wants to build.

For that reason, take the money and move on.
