• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

JWP passed medical at West Ham. According to the Circle of Trust we are on the verge of signing Flynn Downes (loan) and Matt Grimes.

From the Southampton forum, they seem sure Grimes is about to be announced there?

Let’s see if he’s playing tomorrow.

Saints have plenty of cash, fck em...up the premiums, stick another 5m on his price.

With Lavia going too I can definitely see Soton coming in for Grimes.

But with a transfer that big, prominent (our captain) and domestic it would be very difficult to keep under wraps. There is zero journos / swans ITK accounts reporting this as far as I can see so really don't think it's imminent.

Soton might think we'll be hard to deal with the Martin saga ongoing so maybe they'll test our nerve later on in the window.

Grimes and Piroe will be deadline day bids from Saints. Possibly why we are firming up our squad now in prep.

Who would you class as Swansea ITK Twitter accounts?

I shall never reveal my sources.

Because I have none. But I should have put swansea ITK in inverted commas.

Who's getting Lavia now Liverpool have decided to spunk obscene money on Caicedo instead? Chelsea?

Dunno, just assume he's going somewhere

Seems like a desperate measure by Liverpool that, if they were gonna spend that then they should have spent on Bellingham, cause he would have gone there, Caiedo only wants to go to Chelsea by all accounts as well, think Liverpool are panicking myself in being willing to fork out that amount of money.

I’ve always liked Grimes and have always seen him as a good player fighting to break free of an average player. Unfortunately a succession of poor managers have failed to use him to his full potential and a move to Southampton would only see him firmly remain in the untapped potential category. As much as I’ve been a cheerleader for him I have to say that if he is remotely interested in joining up with a Martin again we should let him go and try something different.

It's a strange one with Grimes that he's been an ever present for 5 seasons & the first name on the team sheet for 3 different managers but most Swans fans are fairly ambivalent about him.
If we do lose him we have no direct replacement in the squad so maybe we will go a different way unless Duff sees Patino as the man.
You can't underestimate his fitness record though, whoever we bring in is very unlikely to replicate that.

He's a bit like a frying pan or a boiler - you need these things and you'd notice it if they weren't there, but at the same time it's impossible to get excited about them

Nailed on to leave IMO.

Absolutely no inside info by the way

What?
You haven't got first hand info direct from Russy, Matt or Duff about any of this?
You don't know whether some bloke we've been linked to on twitter is right or left footed, at his best in a midfield three, four or wingback formation?
You don't know the minutiae of everyone's contract at the club and the exact transfer fee and installment plan?
You don't know whether the new "investors" have pumped millions into the club for fun, for equity purchase, as loans due to be converted to equity in 2026 or some other date?

What wrong with you?

Well, I did actually see the contract, there's loads of clauses in it, and it'll be total transfer fee of £10. Don't question me though because I've got inside info. MG.
