• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

His beard has got better over time.

Will be slightly disappointed if this thread doesn't get to twenty pages with Andy Cole contributing to most of them with flagrant use of the word twp.

He's been so consistent and ever present in that role for so long, us fans have got to the 'take him for granted' stage.
Think about this for a second. If he was injured and out for a few weeks, how would we line up with our current squad?

Revealing to see which of our current crop of posters are twp enough to fly their ‘ I clearly know nothing about elite level CM play’ and bash Matty.

First pick for yonks, for all the right reasons.

The last remaining shred of glue to bond us to our playing identity.

Bonkers how so many of our online fans are so clueless, so lacking in basic football intelligence, insight and analysis. It’s as if they’re watching an entirely different sport to us football intelligentsia, Risc.
intelligentsia!
A fine word, and an excellent start to the day! Ffantastig.

Yet another offering to my fellow Swans fans.

Indubitably the very best poster for widening and enhancing the ‘readin’ and ‘ritin’ skills of the Swans fanbase.

So many new words, so many new ways of expressing proper dialogue, in so many ways. Of that I am most certain 😉😎

(ps - it’s still beyond tragic how some self professed Swans forum journos still have no idea how to apostrophise.)

Had a mare today. Killed him.
They did a job on him today and he got little help from his team mates. After the first 20 minutes, Sunderland were more organised, quicker and stronger in every department. Lots had ‘mares.

Hello again Mrs Grimes👋

Somebody like one of the journos and that club bird needs to ask outright to LW.

Why are you defaulting Grimes to CB and sweeper during a game !?!

I would sincerely like to know the answer from LW on this subject 🤔

Sadly though, nobody will ask it and he wouldn't answer it..

Our most creative player playing so deep and hiding in the back four especially as we are wafer thin on quality in the midfield

We may as well play three at the back the way things are.

Grimes dropping so deep to pick the ball up is damaging us in the centre of the park. It's making us weaker and slower getting forward.

If either of our centre backs had a pair of balls they'd be telling him to fuck off and get further up the field.

He was pretty much dogshite in the middle of the park yesterday. The lad who scored their second yesterday, showed Grimesy a clean pair of heels.
Oh to have a midfielder of that ilk.

Guy at the game yesterday tried to convince me that he was doing it under orders, which I don't buy. It mostly seems to happen in the games where we're struggling. Whether we struggle because he does it, or whether he does it because we're struggling is up for debate, but either way it never helps the situation.

His lack of leadership doesn't help either.

I might be a dinosaur, I like my captain shouting and screaming during the game.
