It's in my mind to get a blood test done once the January rush to doctors surgeries has died down, though the PSA test gives a significant percentage of both false positives and false negatives so I'll worry whatever the outcome.
Was told Friday that my PSA test is 18 and needs to be followed up because that’s not good news. Urine test next week to rule out something else that might give a false high reading and then another PSA in February. If it’s still high it’ll be scans and biopsies.
Meanwhile we’re going on holiday to try to forget about it between the tests. I feel fine except for the enlarged prostate that makes me pee all the time especially after coffee and beer.
