• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Used to post on here, massively critical about a lot of things. Ruffled a few feathers, but ultimately he’s proven he knows his stuff
Hopefully has addressed his massive obdurate streak, doesn't fit well in professional environments.

This is an example of a thread that’s based on different social media accounts and others being desperate to be first with news, guess at what’s gone on, and push agendas.

Montague has just had a fantastic window with us, appears to have been too good at it in many ways as he looks like he’s going to a PL team, and within hours fans are saying the job he did (and it was him) was actually being done by someone else and he was crap or not pulling his weight.

Sigh.

If he goes to Brentford as seems likely then it’s a shame but it’s what will continue to happen until we get promoted. People will leave us if they do a good job to go to a bigger club.

I suspect the club will confirm this before the day is out

"However, it is vital that everyone at the club is aligned with our shared strategy".

Interesting sentence. 🤔

As part of an internal review!!!! 🤣
7 months on from appointing him, they decide to have an internal review........or so they say 🙈

100% a battle of egos going on somewhere in amongst all that.

Suggesting that he didn't or wasn't agreeing with the majority.......he might be wrong but it's not a given the majority are correct also.

Something isn't sitting right with me on this, it's just a feeling.

How much of a say did the current ownership team have in this appoint? Was it down to Coleman?

Sometimes people take jobs at organisations and it just doesn't work out. It doesn't mean anything sinister has gone on.

They were in place a few months before he was appointed so would have signed it off.
I think it was pushed on after a disastrous January window that ultimately saw Coleman moved on from his role.

It certainly hasn't worked out hence him being relieved of his duties. I think no external replacement suggests that he either wasn't doing the job( others were if that is the case) he was given or someone else within the club thinks they are capable of it.
