• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I think that's how Sheehan has always wanted us to play with energetic midfielders causing havoc. For some reason it hasn't worked out. Casey and SamuelS Smith have looked very very good at this level in every game I've seen them play.

I'd go with the following moving forward as it allows us more going forward:

Vig

Casey/SS Cabango Burgess

Key/SS. Franco gal Tymon

Widdell VIP Inoussa

Thought Idah did really well last night also.

Like the idea of trying the 5 to see if we can improve performances. The two attacking midfielders would be welcomed and the fact that Widell & Inoussa already know each other could really help us.

My only sticking point is if Cabango and Burgess can both play as part of a 3, doesn’t seem to be much pace there. We could always play Samuel Smith and Casey with one of them but benching wouldn’t feel fair to either.

Burgess looked good yesterday. Cabango prob plays as the stopper in the middle with burgess and Casey either side

I like both Burgess and Cabango. I think Burgess is a tidy ball player and Cabango is around the same standard. I’m confident in them both when they’re on the ball, it’s the channel running I would worry about for one of them. I’d happily take the risk if it meant we play like the first 20 yesterday though.

I think , for all Sheehan’s protestations Widdell and Inoussa simply have to start every game for us. They already have an understanding and look like they can unlock defences, something Eom and Cullen can’t do. Casey is class - I wouldn’t mind a back 5 or him slotting in at RB even

Benson has looked utterly devoid of confidence and attacking ideas
A complete shadow of the player that destroyed the championship 3 years ago
Had such high expectations, hopefully when he gets fitter and sharper we will see a player but I get the impression he’s the wrong fit for us unfortunately.

Seen more of him running backwards with the ball at his feet than forwards.

With him going to Afcon in a month or so think it's best for everyone if we cancel the loan in janaury and sign a proper Rw.
Have to agree, he has fallen way below the expectations we had of the kind of player we were bringing in
