I read about both these things and, like you, found it difficult to understand.

The bravery of the police officers to push on from room to room, from floor to floor whilst knowing all to well that 'the shooter' as the advantage of possible concealment, along with surprise e.g. to fire and kill through a closed door, or from behind a corner, or large object is sobering.

These cops are often the easy target for criticism from dim-wits with an anti-police agenda, but it is the cops that well and truly put their lives on the line to protect and serve!

These police offers clearly did their job bravely as you say and are rightly being lauded for it.

No need to talk about 'dim-wits with an anti-police agenda' though as if these two cops represent all police officers the world over. It's not as if the actions of Derek Chauvin, Wayne Couzens or many others have been somehow erased from existence is it?

We should not let this descent into a good cop / bad cop debate.

Instead let's recognise the true courage of those involved, I'd buy them a beer if I ever had the chance, and pay respect to those who have not come out alive. Tragic beyond belief.

I was thinking more on the lines of innocence scam campaigns, where for example murderer’s have either confessed about their crime(s) later on e.g. Simon Hall after CCRC failure, or have been further proven to be even more guilty after police reinvestigation.

Add to that accompanying innocence campaign(s) being exposed as utter scams whereupon journalists with an obvious anti-police agenda have aided and abetted psychopaths by means of blatantly ignoring the truth, the victims families verdict satisfaction, evidence and court transcripts whilst telling complete and utter LIES about police investigation(s).

Well deserved gushing praise here!

Apparently the Nashville police have apologised for misgendering the shooter as she/her as they most recently identified as a man apparently. Now leaving aside the rights and wrongs of that (it mostly just made me smile thinking about the reaction it would cause) it also made me immediately think of WOKE police Matthew Hopkins Clarkson shandy boy and here he is. Bless his little outraged socks.

The fact that the police involved were not even using ballistic shields, or stun grenades, or other kit truly shows the professionalism and bravery involved.

You will always get certain individuals i.e. police, soldiers, deep-sea divers, mountain rescue, cave rescue, steeplejacks, riggers ets who will truly face danger, no matter what shape or form, or circumstance it shows itself. Society has always been blessed with individuals who are worlds apart!
