• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Twitter anons linked with VitalSwansea (of all girls), getting airtime here. Who'd have thunk it.

We're better than that, surely. What on earth happened to proper, inside intel, here ?

Terry Sinnett's comment regarding it:

the investment was in the form of convertible loans. As has been reported, not least at the last Fans Forum, these loans are expected to be converted to shares. Any changes will be recorded at Companies House.

Thats the £10m loan from before though to which he is referring I think?

This I think was a suggestion that there had been further "investment" since. I know it is what Winter called for in this piece

https://planetswans.co.uk/2021/12/03/winter-calls-on-the-club-owners-to-do-more-and-warns-of-player-sales/

As Lisa has referenced this can't be a gift and I do not believe they would put any money in without wanting equity in return.

Where did you get that quote from?

Is it in reference to the original CLN from 14/15 months ago?

He just made it on twitter, i'll ask now

**Phil already has

But another point, after the original CLN, I don't think the companies House notifications came out for a good few months after. It doesn't appear from what Terry's saying that the trust have been informed of any additional or recent investment or loans, but if there are (and the Americans haven't told the trust, which is entirely possible), the changes could take a while to show up on companies House I believe?

It has now been confirmed O'Riley had a release clause of £1.5m as VitalSwans (not a faceless account btw, I would never give his name but been around for years) had been saying all along.

If we had further investment that would have been done in my opinion, Martin would have known what was required, and we couldn't get it done.

And we appear to be priced out for Darling too. The trust also seem unaware of any additional funding (they were informed that the initial loan over a year ago was at least in the pipeline).

It's all very strange.

Russ has confirmed all money for purchases will need to be brought in via sales. I take it that means no new loan?
