New Manager

Ramsay talks a good game for a 33 year old you’d think he was a lot older if I’m honest.

Would take this in a heartbeat, but not confident there's anything in it. Requires a decent payout I imagine, and Ramsey will be on a decent wage in the States.

I appreciate people are wartorn over our previous attempts to bring in 'up and coming' managers, but prior to Duff, we did have a very good hitrate. Additionally - and a reason I've not seen anyone else bring up - should we go down this season, there'll be an interest for us to rebuild long-term. You aren't going to do that if you bring in a firefighter, so if someone like Ramsay came in, there's a clear eye on the future without needing to tear everything up next Summer in L1.

You could make the argument that he's not good enough if we go down with him in charge, but it is possible from our position that he steadies the ship and makes us look solid and we still go down.

Interesting to note that Eric Ramsay's assistant is none other than Dennis Lawrence.

Ramsay had worked here before, doesn't focus on possession football and is doing a very good job in America.

The sensible choice?
Not sure it's sensible given lack of experience

Absolutely no idea whether there is any truth in this - I suspect we will see a few names suddenly come in to the frame and back out again before this ends, but just wanted to say that there are, over the years, a few players that each of us rather irrationally love for no particular reason, and for me, Dennis Lawrence was a player I absolutely loved.

Loved him too. Always gave his all and him running for the ball i always found hilarious because of his extreme height.

Formed a great partnership with Monk that season in League One.

He always just seemed to enjoy it so much. Loved him.

What part of his very short CV impressed you?
The way he went to university to graduate with a highly relevant degree and then worked his way up the football coaching ladder. I imagine Man Utd and Chelsea don't suffer fools gladly on their coaching staff. That, and being fluent in French and Spanish.
Compare and contrast with bulbhead.
