• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

He managed 7 games in his first stint, so he is on 4 wins and 2 draws out of 8 games I believe
That means we are definitely going up next season on 26 wins, 13 draws and 7 losses. 91 points would be an ok season :ROFLMAO:

I just of course but from memory he's had at least four top six teams in those games too. Southampton, WBA, Middlesbrough and now Blackburn?

Probably should have beat Boro as well in that game.

He has said in the past that he isn't interested in the managers job just yet
Probably sitting there behind Duff and Martin and Williams just taking notes on how NOT to set up a side

The performance yesterday was a revelation and Sheehan's post match analysis was top drawer, even bringing Joe into the technical area for advice during the match.

I'm regaining the love.

Don't think we need to rush into a panic appointment of a new manager, give Sheehan the opportunity to prove what he can do for remainder of season.

Sheehan till end of season. But longer term replacement in the summer.

Let’s take our time, no panic moves. Survive, rebuild.

Pretty much what I advocated from the first minute after the news broke that we had sacked Williams

Sheehan is a very safe pair of hands giving the club time to find the right manager. And many prospective coaches who did their due diligence by watching yesterdays game would have surely thought they could do plenty with this lot

He’d accept the job in a heartbeat if offered though, right?

Sheehan got a tune out of a squad severely low on confidence.
Joe Allen has been talking about hanging up his boots.
Sheehan with Joe as assistant?
I get the feeling Sheehan fancies a go in the big chair now. I'm not sure if that would be the right way to go. But you never know with this lot in charge.
It might happen.

Give the man some respect. It’s too early yet to decide whether he’s the right fit for us (or even if we’re the right fit for him). His record so far in both his stints as interim coach is far better than either of the two coaches that the club selected in the permanent role. He doesn’t deserve to be written off just because of his (mostly assistant) role to well paid managers interviewed and selected for the full time job.
