He does need to be judged over a longer period but his previous spell in charge was mainly decent. Let’s see where we are at the end of the season. Lots more professional in many aspects of the performance so far. How come we have only just discovered Eim’s long throw as well

The way in which he has sweated our richly assembled (record $ spend) is a Massive plus.

Getting us playing well, keeping clean sheets and picking up results isn't making a good case for the job?

He's probably put himself ahead of your run of the mill applicants we've undoubtedly got.

My view is that a lot of our fans are holding out hope for someone who doesn't exist

He's got something like a 50% win rate over his two stints as caretaker. He is absolutely a contender for the job on a permanent basis, and the fact that he's not playing tedious, self satisfied possession for the sake of it football should put him fairly high up the list.

Personally I think he deserves the change to stay where he is until the end of the season at least, players trust him, fans like him. He knows the club, he knows the league.

Keep him gaffa, play the rest of the season out and reassess during off-season.

It's weird though, you could get a name in, or someone with a great CV, who just doesnt jelly with either the players or fans and it goes south really quickly, the grass isnt always greener. Like I said earlier it's a lottery.

He’s repeatedly said it has to be right for the club and him if it came to that, I wouldn’t say it’s 100% likely he’d even take the position full time if the club ain’t going to be in line with his philosophy and style as he knows deep down the club want someone who offers possession football, he may use this as a platform to get himself a position elsewhere.
