That Daniel Craig is now suddenly an expert on Liverpool FC....just saw him on SSN.
🤣🤣😂😂
These bloody celebs are so self important 😂🤣

He is areal fan I think. Comes from Hoylake?

Swerve you forgot the bit where he gets blown into a trillion little pieces and now they have to either do a Bobby Ewing, or a Sherlock, or just do prequels of his younger days. Seeing Ashe ‘came out of retirement’ for this one, I’m guessing option 3 with a younger version again and they leave this as how he met his Waterloo.

Born in Chester and grew up in Hoylake. Went to 6th form in the school my son goes to.

how can he if he's dead!!

It would've worked IMO if it was called 007 or similar as loads of different agents could've played the role.

Plot twist, "James Bond" is codename for a special type of agent..

Well I haven’t seen the film but I’m gonna guess they’ll resurrect him in some way. Or embrace the age old theory that James Bond is a code name passed between secret agents as you suggested. That theory’s been around for years.

Prequels shirley?

But it ruins all of it when you know he ends up a sad, blubbering wreck wishing he'd spent more time with his daughter. Pathetic ending. Like killing superman. It is escapism ffs, he's never been human or he'd be dead in Dr No. Well there'd be no Dr No because the whole thing is ridiculous not 'real'. That's what it's meant to be, not some real human with 'feelings'. The Terminator will be wrestling with the moral complexities of killing someone from the past soon. I don't care much as James Bond ended for me with the realisation of how stupid it all was at the end of Fat Roger's Live and Let Die debut after the Diamonds are Forever and Live and Let Die's shitfests. All went downhill when they revealed Blofeld to be camp jobbing actors Savalas, Gray and Pleasance. Needed to stop with Thunderball, or at worst Big Fry's OHMSS. At least Savalas and Irma Bunt were sort of believable.

So there.

Sorry to drag this thread up again from the depths, but I went to see it the night before last in Javea and thoroughly enjoyed the film and the whole experience. I'm a big cinema fan, so to go two years without it has been hard. It was a sheer joy to be in a packed cinema, absolutely sold out, 95% Brits I imagine, and it was fun to see everyone jump when the tomb exploded.
I thought the early sequences in Matera, Southern Italy were absolutely superb, especially the stunt riding of the motorcycle through the streets, and the vintage Aston Martin sequences. The film failed to match this early excitement but was still worth watching.
Daniel Craig for me has been the best Bond by far (yes, even better than Connery) and breathed new life into a tired franchise. What do they do now? Who knows, and I'm not that bothered. I will revel in and watch again the three best Craig ones - Casino Royale, Skyfall and this one.

Personally I hope they really commit to being the new Star Trek. In that every other film is a bit shit. They kept it going through Craig's run, so now the next one needs to be a bit shit before the one after is really good.

The film was nothing special, too long and had a stupid ending
Amazon own bond now, they paid 9 billion for it, maybe the next bond will be Jeff Bezos

They do need to try something a bit different though. I'd like to see something like an old, retired Bond...70 years old, having to get involved again somehow...a la Clint Eastwood...

How do they show the film over there? Dubbed with English subtitles, Spanish subtitles or do they ever have English showings?

They show it in two different versions on different nights, either the original soundtrack with Spanish subtitles, or a version dubbed into Spanish. Obviously we chose option one.

I saw it yesterday, and didn't understand the story and almost fell asleep in parts. It's also about 30 minutes too long. I do agree with Pegojack that the chases through the streets of the Mediterranean towns were outstanding, but the rest of it just dragged.

Swerve mun, he’s dead. He is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! ‘Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! ‘E’s not seeing 70. This is an ex Bond.

Just back from seeing it. What a load of shite. No wonder Daniel Craig wanted to leave.
More incredibly, there were two different families there both with kids about 5 years old at most. What is wrong with people ? Thankfully they both left early on but not before spoiling the enjoyment for others. Should they even be allowed to have children ?

Watched some last night and finished it tonight

Underwhelmed at best and a film dragged out for an hour more than was necessary

Well past their sell by date
