Now Bale wants to buy Cardiff as well as Plymouth

Without an alternate reality where he had not died in that air crash it is impossible to prove he would have kept them up. His scoring record (roughly 1 in 3) for Nantes before he died even if he had maintained that record in the PL would have meant 6 perhaps 7 goals. Nowhere near what would have been needed to keep them up especially when you consider the number of chances they created on a per game basis and the number of expected goals vs actual goals scored.

Sadly relying on stats such as xG would be the closest way you could "prove" if he would have kept them up or not, and if you looked at his chance conversion rate and big chances Cardiff created and their expected goals it wouldn't have been anywhere near sufficient.

There is a reason they have lost every stage of this legal farce and the only injustice is that they have been given leave to keep appealing but after this there is no where else to go.
I haven’t been following closely but is this a different case? They’ve lost all the sporting ones, and appeals, so this is a last throw in terms of civil damages based on culpability? I guess they could appeal this one if they lose…?

Another bid made and another public interview by bale - clever or stupid?

There's nothing like having everybody on the same page.

On the one hand - BBM

"Brian Barry-Murphy has said he expects Cardiff City's transfer dealings to kick off in the coming weeks and insisted he is going to focus on "quality over quantity" in terms of player recruitment."

On the other - the club

Cardiff are the only League One side not to make a signing, however 12 senior players have left via transfer or loans or due to contract expiration in the last couple of weeks. The Bluebirds had always maintained their primary focus was to keep a strong core of last season's Championship squad together, while allowing some of the best youngsters an opportunity to prove themselves this season.
