For me it’s irrelevant that we don’t know what he would be like as DoF. The Bristol Rovers connection is enough to put me off of his appointment. I don’t think it’ll happen anyway, given that he and Gorringe don’t seem to have been there at the same time. It has to be someone with good experience who can really take us forward.

I don't think it's unreasonable for fans of a supposedly aspirational championship club to be skeptical about the possibility of an appointment of the DoF of Bristol Rovers. I felt ditto about Gorringe and he still has everything to prove. Didn't we have a coach from there recently too? I don't really want us to aspire to be Bristol Rovers.

So why did people hound Paul Watson out? None of us worked with him?

People can see with their eyes how useless a dof is on matchday when we look at the lineups. We dont need to spend 8 hours a day 7 days a week with him to come to that conclusion.
