• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

The ideal bloke to get in is good old Brendan, but it's fantasy stuff.. Michael Carrick won stuff at the highest level, he's been in dressing rooms at the elite standard level, his record at Boro is better than Sheehan's here.. people would instantly want to work under him, is it realistic, quite possibly

Rodgers is out of our price range as is Carrick I would imagine.
I don't think the club will be in any rush to pay out for someone that is currently employed so we will be looking at Managers currently out of work.

Liam Manning would be on the list.

Hellberg looks interesting. Ramsay will probably get linked again but that would be a gigantic risk.

When Sheehan Goes... Do we go for an unknown international manager, who is unproven in the league but could be seen as a risk, but pays off big time or proven championship manager or dare I say league one?
I've played Football Manager 26. Does that count?

I’ve been told Carrick is too tied to the North East tho.

His wife runs a business up there and unwilling to move family from the area

He’s limiting himself to what managerial jobs he’ll get then if that’s the case unfortunately.

I agree re Brendan, but i do think the owners have to make huge desicions stick or twist and as i have said in other posts our f f p situation does not help,
Something is clearly not working and do they move the current coaching staff out completly or disect where the problem is, head and assistant coach or just 1?
If they want to have a competative team in the championship they will have to act 1 way or another, they would have to have a board meeting to start could be done by skype but i feel Mr Sheehan will be here after the break and go til the new year ( which could be too late) No one likes to see a fab guy moved on but its just not happening for him unfortunatly for what ever reason.

I said earlier in this thread that I thought we were slowly improving.
I watched the first half on Saturday and thought that wasn’t the case at all in that 45 mins. I then had to go out so missed the second half (thank god).
I was in the camp that maybe he needs more time.
Now I think that he probably has a few more games and if it isn’t improving then he will be gone.
Yours Alan 👀🤣
