That's the financial reality unfortunately. The last set of accounts released showed that we can only stay in the black by selling players for big money or by taking out more loans, which no fan should want. Offloading Bennett and Fulton would be a big help considering their wages, but it doesn't look like either are leaving.
With Downes gone, Piroe is the most likely to go. Get £15m+ for him to keep us afloat and reinvest on a couple of £1-1.5m signings (like Downes, Darling, Obafemi, Piroe) and hope to repeat the cycle. That's the aim and if we manage to somehow cobble together a good enough team to get promoted while doing this, that would be a huge bonus for the owners.
Plus PIroe will have 1 year left on his contract next summer and would presumably be worth less, even if he does have a great season.

no, to give not loan if they don't do something we will languish in the Championship for years and they'll never get their money back, sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate.monmouth said:Blackpooljack said:the Yanks need to stick their hands in their pockets
To loan the club even more money at 5%?

They must be considering it out loud or the reporter is a mind reader or it’s bullsh1t.

Abbandonato now running with Brighton story, not one of the clubs I heard about to be honest but god knows what goes on behind the scenes.
