• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The sale of Downes (gone) and Piroe (probably) will, after sell on clauses, make upwards of 25 million profit hopefully, let's see how much is handed over for a push towards the promised land.

Aye, but two seasons of a 15m deficit, and we didn't sell a bean last year, wipe it out. Whole approach is madness IMO.

Interesting week or two ahead I reckon. I'm not convinced there's real interest yet. If there is, then it'd be insane not to put a fair chunk back into the squad.

Fair 👍

Would need to happen relatively soon if we were to reinvest back in squad though.

It's a bit mad there's still 6 weeks left in the window.

But aye agreed, needs to happen sooner rather than later. A late sale just kills us.

Premier league club. Few in for him and he’s keen for move.

Not trying to be a “itk”, but a very good source. Same as who told me him and flynny were both off for certain this summer. Suppose that’s obvious though.

Someone reckons he hates Martin, the same someone said same about Pato as well though

Is that the font of all knowledge from Oz by any chance ?

He's already got his excuses in early an all.. if Russell Martin starts off well it's because Martin has changed his modus operandi.. which is what he has been saying all along.. he needs help, but his ego is so big he'll never listen to anybody, because he's a machine who spends every hour of the day arguing with someone on the internet.. if he has a girlfriend, she's only with him for the money which is quite clear, wouldn't be surprised if she's shagging Dave the milkman due to his obsessiveness

There are far bigger clowns over there (Resloven).

Is Piroe is definitely in the squad for Charlton?

I’d assume so if no fee has been agreed etc. Didn’t Mcburnie play for us in a friendly a day or two before going to Sheff Utd?

If a deal is all but done I hope he doesn't play.
No point in him risking getting injured in a friendly

With Piroe I have always felt that it was a case of when someone higher up the food chain comes in for him rather than if. Its part of why I always felt a three year deal with no extension option was an odd choice for someone with such high resale potential.

If he starts todays friendly then I feel much more confident about having him for the opener next weekend.

If we do end up selling him this window then it does without saying that a replacement will be vital, not as much for his goals (which are vital) but to provide someone who can replace Obafemi when fatigue eventually starts to set in as the man up top.

I feel that Congreve can make the step up in an attacking midfield creator sort of role and I think he will grow into it as the season goes on. Piroe however is sort of filling two roles at once which makes him especially difficult to replace especially considering the price we paid for him.

Still no loan for Troy Parrott as far as I'm aware yet...

Piroe starts so nothing imminent at the moment by the looks. But I’ll stand by my OP, work going on behind scenes.
