Hi All
We have been having some issues recently with the forum software and also an over intrusion of adverts caused by some of those problems. In addition, many users are reporting the forum unable to access the forum from some devices.
When we first moved home back in 2020 the initial intention was to return the site to its original name of JackArmy.net, something which I never actually managed to get around to doing.
This is now something that I will be proceeding with with a view to overcoming many of the problems at the same time.
Some work has been done in the test environment on both sides of the site (news and forum) and tests have largely been well with all posts from the forum, usernames and avatars able to be transferred. My only challenge appears to be that the passwords don't transfer 100% successfully and may need a reset on first login (this can be done by simply requesting a reset email post migration and passwords can be reset to existing passwords as the system is not necessarily recognising them)
There are a few more things needing to be done in the background but I am anticipating doing the migration in the course of the next few days.
