• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Surprised Duff has left the first changes so late with a 4-0 lead?

To be fair with it being a friendly the physios might have said that giving them 20 minutes is the best course.

For those 2, yes, because they are recovering but he could have brought others on earlier like Cooper, Cullen, surely?

The result is as unimportant now as it was last week, so maybe he just wants his prospective Brum team to ‘jelly’?

My thinking.
Good result but overall I think the game gave us a fair idea of what to expect for the lineup on Saturday barring any drastic changes to the squad.

Only negative is what seems a knock for Adbulai but it seemed more like an impact injury than anything else so hopefully will recover in a few days.

There will be a few sleeping a bit easier tonight.
I'm talking about Duff clapping the fans.
Oh and our 4-0 win will help.

This was precisely what some of us expected. With far more to come, in so many ways……

Well done, new owners, new and improved management team, and Matty G who is our omnipresent glue to brand Swansea.

And Ofc well done to baka - fabulous ‘live’ reporting whilst other outlets were lacking.

Really happy with that.
Yates and Piroe looked great together and would have scored for fun this season.
Abdulai looks far more capable at wing back than Latibeaudiere ever did.

Tanny Gray Thompson would have gone past defenders faster than Latibeaudier.

How did Ginnelly look when he came on?

Looks like he has a bit of pace but ran into trouble on the ball a couple of times, nothing much else. Went right side striker when he came on, then shifted to left after Cullen replaced Yates.

From their fans forum.

"These Welsh oxf*rd have been giving us the run around for a decade in competitive football, so someone decided to arrange a friendly so they could play circles around us in pre-season instead." 😄

When life gives you lemons you make lemonade :D

Looked hungry to impress, perhaps over hungry considering the frustration from his injury right as pre season kicked off.
Has plenty of hustle and bustle about him though, didn't really see much of him in an attacking capacity.
