Reading play off final side

You do realise that Monk played afew seasons in a division below Darling and only when he reached 30ish did he play at a higher level. Monk also played in a side that was on the upward curve and were favourites for a couple of seasons in league 1 and then genuine playoff contenders in the championship, not a midtable side like today? Darling arguably has been our most consistent player since the end of last season and for me has potential to far exceed Monk.
Do you reckon Harry Darling is good enough for the Premier League though?
Think carefully ...

Not a chance, If Monk struggled to hold down a place in the PL with his experience and defensive capabilities.. Darling has no chance, because he struggles to do it in the championship.. Monk and Williams kept clean sheet after clean sheet, Cabungle and Darling go into self-destruct mode every week.. but with a different coach and more experience it might actually dawn on them two to finally wake up on a pitch

Monk and Williams v Cabango and Darling 🤔

Be like comparing a Lamborghini with a horse and cart...

That's where I am with it, Darling just shades it.

Darling has been somewhat hampered by who he has had imposing tactics on him, he also doesn't have big Ash by his side each week.

Does Darling captain a side and get clean sheet records though?

I stand very much corrected. Maybe I'm thinking of Tate who didn't play that much.
That's right. Tate went from pretty much ever present in the promotion season, to benchwarmer in the Premier League. I think he then went out on loan to Forest.

Caulker came in on loan and that's what pushed Monk down the order.

We've been deploying the defenders training manual as written by Keystone Cops for the majority of Darling's time here. If he leaves in the summer I think his career will kick on another level.

If Nathan Wood is "good enough" to have minutes in the premier league then so is Darling. He has all the attributes, I struggle to see a clear weakness, the odd error granted but playing this new suicide football that many clubs play then it's almost a given on times.

Darling hasn't shown enough defensive capabilities to even get prem teams sniffing after him.. you're basing your opinion because he's youthful.. defending is an art, Monk mastered it at this level, and he lead teams.. if there was a trench, who you picking

Nathan Wood isn't Premier league in a million years, same as Harry D .

When they played first played together end of last season I'm pretty sure they kept 5 clean sheets in a row untill the last game of the season and again this season untill the last month they haven't done much wrong. Individual errors by cabango rather then being defensively frail

Monk led a team to the Premier League and kept what was it, 20+ clean sheet records.. you're comparing a bicycle with a Harley Davison motorbike ffs
