• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Some significant changes afoot which will look to build upon the excellent new foundations established post Winter/Martin:
  • Record spend in this league last term.
  • Top half net spend this term.
  • Cutting our cloth, massively.
  • Retaining the very best Captain and midfield maestro, delivering:
  • Top 2 - possession
  • Top 2 - carries in final 1/3rd
  • Top 6 - touches in final 1/3rd
Our manager is currently our weakest link. He needs to pull his socks up, and get the very best out of our talented assets in the final 1/3rd to kick on and deliver - selection, set-up, subs….. it so ain’t rocket science.

Sheez&Marge champing at the bit to kick us on……(with LT10 mentoring our front 1/3rd)

Williams is our only handicap right now.

Looks like two of our kids off to Man City as well. People love to knock their own club but more need to start looking at the positives.

Not sure losing two of our youngsters for peanuts is much of a positive mind, but yes well done the academy 👏

  • Record spend in this league last term. Majority of signings were poor.
  • Top half net spend this term. Yet we have an average squad with clear lack of depth
  • Cutting our cloth, massively.
  • Retaining the very best Captain and midfield maestro, delivering: Marmite
  • Top 2 - possession Means nothing
  • Top 2 - carries in final 1/3rd Means nothing
  • Top 6 - touches in final 1/3rd Means nothing
Sliding down the league, attendances falling, squad quality getting poorer and losing key players because of low ball contract offer is not sustainable.
Football is not like other businesses.

I'm never really sure how to judge this tbf. It's obviously shit that they leave, but there's so little you can do at their age. If they wanna leave, they're basically guaranteed to go, even if we offer a contract. The positive is that the academy is still producing players of that calibre to begin with.

And hence we’re continuing to cut our cloth.
Finance nor football is your thing is it.

Ya marginal, menacing minge.

Talking of cloth, your posts are certainly touching it.

If everything is going so well, why are changes needed then?

It's a small fish, big fish scenario unfortunately for us, a Premier league side comes calling and it's goodbye.
Iwan Morgan going to Brentford for peanuts is a classic case 😕
