Richard Montague

A lot of his success was down to how many balls Jodi Jones would assist to him as well.
Very true. Rumours we was linked to him. Not sure of his status now. Either way, we need to be aiming higher or better. I'm still waiting for a gem like Michu to be uncovered by Swans 😁

Just got around to watching his interview, first impressions is I like what he says a lot more than Watson, let’s hope he does a good job for us. Onwards and upwards

He seems a good talker, he seems to be on the level when talking aswell but he seems to strongly believe in how he does things........not sure if that school of thought is the right direction though.

It will either bring great rewards or fail miserably.

His interview was a bit meh. His self-described job description of 'getting people together' and 'communication' sounded very wishy-washy and I'm not sure he even knows what he's here to do.

Particularly disheartening, given the factors in our previous rise through the divisions, was him insisting that you absolutely need big powerful players to have success in the Championship, and that we were going to be competing for the same type of players all the other clubs will be competing for. Leon Britton, Nathan Dyer, Scott Sinclair, Joe Allen and many others were unavailable for comment.

Thought I’d canvass my Millwall mate’s view of the only player I’ve heard of from Notts that has gone anywhere. I hope we can buy the ‘championship’ over the air upgrade or plug in.

Langstaff. Great player at Notts County, headless chicken at Millwall. Probably a league or two out of his depth. 1 goal in 28 appearances. Not a good return for a striker.
Think I mentioned this on another thread last year.
A caller on Radio Wales was absolutely adamant that Paul Mullin and Will Evans should get Welsh call ups.
Nathan Blake (who I think is amazing) was passionately arguing against it and spoke brilliantly about the difference between League1/2 and top levels.

Even Ash and Monk were in no way big for their positions. I think we'll all be happier when we just accept that was a freak ten years when all the stars aligned for us and will never be seen again. Yearning to replicate it is fools gold.

We are now, and have been since the sell outs got pounds in their eyes, 'just another bog standard football team'. It'll be a miracle if we're not back where we started in the next 10 years, if it takes that long.
