Thought I’d canvass my Millwall mate’s view of the only player I’ve heard of from Notts that has gone anywhere. I hope we can buy the ‘championship’ over the air upgrade or plug in.

Langstaff. Great player at Notts County, headless chicken at Millwall. Probably a league or two out of his depth. 1 goal in 28 appearances. Not a good return for a striker.

There is a reason he was playing in lower leagues at his age. Can you imagine we'd spunked 700k on him.

Him and Jenny Yates up front would have been fearsome.

Sad thing is, Cullen and Vippo… you can guess the rest

Very impressive interview and despite my current mood, it gave me a bit of hope that we may have ambitions to be a serious outfit.
He mentioned the “weight given to certain data” a few times. I’ve had a feeling for a while that we haven’t been doing that.

Yet most of our fans were going crazy that we didn’t spunk that money on him in the summer - yet I kept saying that we and Williams weren’t actually interested.

Williams knew he wasn’t a championship level striker.

Yep. Serious indeed - serious money demands serious success

So now we have football folk at our football helm, and most likely a proper football manager managing (instead of the self-indulgent fraudster idiots like Martin-Williams) - it will be fascinating to see where some of our more challenged passive supporters lash out at next.........

Yep, my thoughts as well.

If Williams had rated him at this level, he'd be in our squad.

I thought he spoke well on the interview and what was interesting he did cover its more than just data on recruitment and he focuses on character of a player for a best fit. Although, not sure how you evaluate this until the player signs and beds in.

Always a gamble. Yiu can see why they took a punt, but that's shocking numbers. 1 in 28. Wow.
