Leaves a lot to be desired. Whittaker, Benda, Garrick and now Ogbeta, all sidelined and with little chance of getting anywhere near the first team. Maybe baring Whittaker, the other three for me could be potentially in the first team squad, but for some reason Russ doesn’t fancy them.

What makes everyone think Garrick & Ogbeta are good enough for the Championship?

I’ve seen nothing from Garrick to suggest he is going to be a success. Even Plymouth fans don’t want him back and recognise they need better players than him to challenge for promotion from League one.

I’ve not seen enough of Ogbeta to give an opinion (apart from a brief appearance at Blackpool where he looked all over the place).

They both have a bit of pace and people make the assumption they are good enough based on that.

Why do some fans think they know more than the coaching staff who see these players everyday in training?

Because I guess like Sousa with Dobbie for example, managers do make mistakes discarding good players. Or Fulton who was a solid centre mid for this level but discarded by Martin and hasn't done much wrong in the gametime he has had under him.

It's the same process that enabled us to sign the likes of Obafemi and Dyer/Routledge when other managers didn't fancy them but they certainly did just fine here. And the same basis that Michu can't have been any good because nobody else stumped up £2m for him

Everything I read about Garrick's stay at Plymouth was positive, Ogbeta was brought in on Martins watch, I guess its just the process though...

Didn’t seem to be much wrong with his man management when we did the double

Doesn’t rate them, simple as that really.

I’d say Ogbeta was 100% not Martins signing and that signalled the Allen sacking, 300K for a player who was out of contract 6 months later.

So as long as we beat that tinpot club up the road twice again next season you'll be happy whatever position we end up

Not at all, simply pointing out that people are selective when it comes to things like man management, as I said, he doesn’t rate them as was the case with previous managers when it came to Benda and Garrick.

Fair enough, you could say the jury is out on Fisher too, by far and away the worst keeper we have had for a number of years in my honest opinion, but Russ rates him highly.

His man management has been spot on with Piroe, Obafemi and Downes.

As for Fisher, he's not an amazing keeper but the stupid way we put ourselves under pressure at the back is making him look weaker than he is.

Any keeper would look bad with the pressure Fisher is put under.

Sorry mate but Fisher is liability regardless if he shìts his pants with the ball at his feet, can't command his six yard box at corners, his shot stopping ability is about as good as mine, other than that...

Any defence would look bad with Fisher in goal

But point taken, it's a clusterduck at both ends.

Fact is, Russo is accountable fully this season with no hiding place, therefore he must pick the team that he wants, and if that doesn't include the ones mentioned he mustn't rate them, as his neck, and possibly his future if he falls on his arse here, is on the block. No point in us second guessing, although I have to say, if it were my future, whatever I had to do to avoid it, I wouldn't be playing Latibeaudiere at RWB.

People seem to be a bit blinkered re Fisher, yes he isnt a Schmeichel far from it but he has made a few decent saves in his time here, including a decent one on Saturday only his detractors don't see the good he does, only the bad, half empty rather than half full imo.

As we all know we need pacey wingbacks to give Fisher an outlet instead of playing russian roulette around his box, touch wood we might get one soon, until then don't just watch Fisher playing russian roulette, watch the saves he makes, because he does make them.
