Not in the least, if he had remained in charge for another two years he would have seen his meal ticket get relegated to league one and then we would all have had to endure another year of his slop without even that high point against Cardiff to look forward to.The unfortunate irony with Martin's reign at Swansea, is that for two years we had the most boring football I've ever experienced...yet he was the manager of the team that made history by achieving the double doube over Cardiff. I don't know whether to cry or laugh
And if I'm brutally honest with myself, I wonder if his bore-fests overall, are actually outweighed by those iconic bragging rights over Cardiff.
We need a poll![]()
He underachieved by getting promotion with Southampton with a squad that any half baked manager could have comfortably got promoted with, dragging his and Southampton's names through the mud in the process after the Swans quite rightly took him and Southampton to court.
Then he oversaw the worst tenure in PL history before Southampton sacked him. He must have had dirt on some major decision maker in Rangers for them to decide to give him the job, but I expect Rodgers to tear him a new arsehole when they two meet for the first time (if he survives in the job that long)
