Nobody blames him for going
To Burnley that's up for debate
Argument is the really piss poor price

Agree Geoff. Burnley got a bit of a bargain. My guess is that he’ll only be there for a season anyway. Burnley will be relegated and an established Premier League team will pay at least £15m for him.

Martin didn't say how much we were offering him. Clearly it was a lot less than Burnley were. No hard feelings, wish him all the best, etc...

“And Swans boss Martin has stated the 25-year-old felt the offer from the Clarets was too good to turn down given his current injury situation.”

Ouch, good luck Burnley...

But yeah, every single football player is a mercenary to some degree. You can’t blame them really to some extent. People don’t half get wound up and precious about club ‘legends’ moving elsewhere and crying betrayal etc.

Good luck to him Dar mun.
He may be a total flop or a hit. He's injured and may never be the same loose cannon on the pitch he was for us.
His diving and rolling about will be ideal for that level.

We had to let him go so we did well to get anything.

I mean, a realistic fan knows that he wanted to try be in the prem, the wages dont matter much
He couldve come back a different player after injury, i think his injury probably lowered our fee but wed have chucked in a few clauses
But the Laird signing was always to replace him, Man U wouldnt let us have Laird and play him out of position

Being 25 . I would think it was a case of its now or maybe never for the Prem.

Yep. He wanted out, and the club had to sell or risk losing him for nothing.

Good luck to him. He was unlikely to get another offer to play in the Prem so I don’t blame him for taking it.

The grass isn't always greener, as history shows.
Anyway, good luck Connor.👍

He definitely hasn't gone to Burnley for the money, they have a strict pay policy.

How is it a Piss poor price, he wouldn't sign a new deal, nobody else wanted him.

He could have signed a pre contract in January and we would have got nothing
