I enjoyed the game but we have to learn better options in attack and take the chances to finish teams off.
Hopefully that will come
Birmingham and Blackburn important games
We'll win both 👍

Really disappointing and a lesson in taking your chances for us. Easily the better side for all of that really, should have been done by 90.

Having said that, we are still in a precarious position and don’t really need cup football this season. West Brom having more games to play also helps us out a bit.

Still our best and most complete performance of the season by some distance.

I absolutely disagree with the ‘don’t need cup football’ bit.

We have had season after season of utter mid table pretty boring mediocrity week after week. The cup is a chance to get some excitement.

If we really can’t stay up in this championship unless we ‘concentrate on the league’ we deserve sod all.

There was a discussion a while back to play Key further forward with Ronald behind him. Interesting Matos brought Key on and he got an assist playing there.

Pleased for Inoussa.. hopefully he can kick on. Shame we didn't get Vip more in the game in scoring positions

Ward looked rusty but used his experience well, hopefully he will be up to speed soon.

Fulton now is pushing both Stemenic and Franco for a place. Franco has stagnated this season and playing alongside Stemenic really stiffles our creativity.

Fisher cost us one goal.

The missed chances were not his fault.
After we scored and where we probably go on and score two or three more. He lets us down time and time again but ok let's give him a chance because he played ok for st mirren or whatever shite Scottish club he went to. He is not and has never been good enough

I was tempted to skip the penalties as I just knew we would lose given how the game went...

Of course, I didn't 'know' we were going to lose - it was just your typical football fan psychosis in these situations, so I settled in to suffer with the rest of you. I have to admit to fearing the worst when Yalcouye came up to take a pen - doesn't strike me as someone you'd want taking one, but maybe he's nailing them in training all the time, who knows. Not sure who else was left who you'd have confidence in, Ward?

Overall really impressive performance that showed the good we have to build on and the continued obvious areas that need strengthening. A no 10 type and an attacking right-winger with finishing ability would transform this team.

VIP doesn’t get himself more into the game is the truth. He had two decent chances with his head and missed both. And in the periods where we were full of energy and pressing all over the pitch, he was ambling barely breaking a sweat.

Laudrup got it right. Mind you, it may have contributed to him losing his job when he could get the team up and ready for the UEFA Cup but not the league. But I liked that he went all-out to win in the Cups.

Not sure but Wales’s played a great ball around the corner for maybe key to cross in for the goal
I wasn’t sure, but thought it was Key, but mates were saying Wales. This clears it up from The Swans site :

But the hosts picked themselves up to respond almost immediately with Inoussa sweeping the ball into the bottom corner after Josh Key had picked his head up and calmly found the winger.

He is nowhere near good enough.

But he didn't miss all of our chances today.

Their keeper should have saved our second as well btw.

Created plenty of chances today, vip, casey, Ron, widell, yalcouye, disappointing to lose but we played some decent stuff. Ward played half an hour longer than expected, did ok considering he's pretty rusty

We need another forward as a priority.
