We have a week before this game and a week after before Brum, so I think we can play a full strength team here; I don’t think we need to ‘rest’ anyone.

I could see a couple of changes to give Matos a chance to look at a couple of other players, such as Fisher, Casey and Parker, but I expect we’ll put out a strong team, certainly not a case of ‘playing the kids’.

Personally I would torch this game. None of our better players would even be near the squad let alone the starting XI. We could do without a cup run distracting us.

West Brom playing away to Leicester tonight. I have a feeling we might see a different manager in the dug out next Sunday. Ryan Mason might be gone if tonight’s match doesn’t have a positive outcome for WBA.

Don't think we need to play kids.. Matos has a free hit to try different combinations but I expect some League Cup players to play like Fisher.

A 2 week rest for some is probably too long unless they have some niggles

With a week to rest before and after this match, not sure why we wouldn't go strong and build on our home form and confidence. If we was playing a few days later, then I would agree but it's perfect opportunity to continue a great home form and go on a 3 game streak with 3 home games.

Is also a perfectly valid way of looking at it.

I just don't like risking big players in a cup you know you're not going to win. Imagine if Galbraith or Vip got a bad one. We'd be absolutely buggered.

Wales and Key, or Parker or both should absolutely play. As should Casey and Sam Smith. Widell needs game time still, but maybe tell him to concentrate on creativity over running, or play eom at 10, plus Inoousa.

I don’t think it needs to look that much different just more benchers starting.

I thought West Brom were unlucky tonight. They had some really good chances in the 2nd half. The shot from Price deflected off the defender and the goalkeeper and hit the post. They were then sucker punched by the late Leicester winner. So will we see Ryan Mason again on Sunday? I think we will, but only time will tell.

I'd be happy with something like:

Fisher

Tymon - Casey - Cabango/Burgess - Key (if fit, Parker if not)

Stamenic - Franco

Wales - Widdell - Inoussa

Cullen
