• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A very weak performance and I hope that Sheehan admits as much. Fulton needs to be retired, he was the weakest link the whole game

Hope you're right mate but not impressed by any of the new signings really - Galbraith and inoussa aside
There will be fans all over the country watching similar performances…we’re through to the next rounde you're right

If we agree to cancel Fisher’s contract tonight he can leave on a high note. Like Borja Baston. Pretty please?

Feel sorry for Sorinola there, poor pen.

Well done The Fish.

Not sure the manager sent them out like that but whatever happened it didn’t work and we served up a turd.

Got out of jail there.

Job done.

Enough said by others about that performance in the second half.

Really hope though that the players signed from overseas start to get up to the pace and physicality of the game over here as soon as possible. The signings standing out at the moment are those with experience of the UK game.

I do think though that the criticism on here of Parker is way over the top, he had a very good first half and made some lovely breaks in the second. Just lacked composure when it mattered most. I see signs of a good player.

Fingers crossed for that striker. By God we need it.

I understand the line up and premeditated changes from a managerial point of view, but no wonder crowds in the league cup keep dropping like a stone.

Both cup competitions are used as friendlies up until the 1/4 final by teams in all 4 divisions. Fans will continue to get annoyed/frustrated by performances like that, but reading anything into any of the games played tonight or two weeks ago (see also 3 weeks time) is pointless IMO.

Take it for what it is and judge the manager and players on Saturday against Sheffield Wednesday and more importantly over the next few months league fixtures.
