• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Madness. So everytime we lose, its throw players under the bus. Idah has not had enough service or time to make a stamp. Is he going to be a good signing who knows? But let's all calm down. We lost today, because we was tired. Sheehan could of Brought Subs on earlier I agree. But as I started, we look like a team who was just getting over our night out on the town. We as a team are not there yet to start turning out results 1 after the other especially in short space of time. Doesn't mean we are not going in right direction but let's all chill.

We do need to sort out midfield. We have absolutely zero attacking outlet/drive in the middle of the park. Stamenic stays deep, Franco the same, albeit to a lesser extent, but he's no attacking midfielder. Galbraith gets box to box, but he's not that creative, attacking player - he's asked to do a lot in the team,we shouldn't add 'main creative outlet' to all the other things he does. We NEED someone in there. I assumed that was to be Widdel's role, but he's either not considered up to it or needs a lot of time to get up to speed, but that's a glaring hole in our team at the moment for me.

That's the problem though jaxs, we never learn from it. Happening too regularly.
Conceding late and not coming out of the blocks 2nd half. You could have excuses if it hadn't happened for awhile rather than last weekend.

Even Sheehan was speaking about being better after the Hull game.

I personally think a better coach will get a better tune with this squad. Midfield jigsaw needs sorting, the players today are too similar, another game goes by for Franco for me where he doesn't add anything. I feel Franco is too slow to link with Galbraith, Galbraith needs another player on his wavelength.

The subs were baffling again when it was obvious to the eye where the tired legs were. How the hell EOM gets on before Benson. Today was a day that all the subs needed using early today after midweek performance.

The midfield I would like to see when everyone is match fit would be

Stamenic, Galbraith, Yalcoyne, Benson and Inoussa. I am still not ruling out Widell to replace Yalcoyne, but not seen enough of him yet.

I'd be interested in seeing Stamenic and Galbraith in the middle with Eom playing in the ten role.

I can understand why Stamenic played today due to physical presence. And maybe Sheehan thought playing Yalcouye was a game too soon considering the his age etc. But I would of rested Franco and had Widell in. But hindsight and all.

Not coming out of the blocks in the second half? How do yo explain Waford and Forest?

Franco is the problem

Probably need to be going to a holding 2 in midfield and putting a creative 10 in there, only options are Cullen or Eom. I would go with Cullen as he will contribute goals from there.
Our issue is, we have chucked loads of our eggs into signing midfielders who can play the shape that Sheehan is going with.

Widell very rarely played as a 10 for his former club.

No drama here, two poor decisions did for us today, one from the Lino and Sheehans midfield selection, Wednesday night didn’t help either.
Tough decisions for the manager in the next couple of weeks but they have to be made.
