• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Yes, because that's what I said.

It was not uncommon for us to start slowing up from about the 60th minute onwards and play things cagey. Mostly we got away with it, sometimes we didn't.

Unless you're 3-0 up and cruising then no matter who the manager is there's no sense in it for me.
Eh

"We've been here many times, even as far back as Brendan"

Wasn't having a dig either

Fuck me, top end mid table, bottom half, maybe top 10.........
There is 24 teams in the league Smurph!
If we are looking at top, middle or bottom table then let's split into 3.

1-8 Top
9-16 Mid Table
17-24 Bottom

You are looking at it like
Top 10
Mid table 12-13th
11th Scotch Mist

🤣 You're a funny one.....bet it would be a good laugh having a pint with you.

9th to 16th isn't mid table 👀

To be fair, I do enjoy a pint, I'm sure we would get on, your posts are bat shit crazy upon times, you do strike me as a thoroughly good human being 🍻

That’s how I’ve always thought of the Championship split. Start of the season there’s probably 2/3 of the league who think they could get in the top 8 though!

Our 10 seasons in the Championship probably bear that out - Five top 8 playoff pushing seasons (or better) & five mid table ones.

Despite some horror runs over the last few years we’ve never really been in danger of going down (unlike Stoke who I think have never finished in the top half since we were both relegated)

I think most on here and people in the ground feel we’re capable of getting close to the better half of those seasons but there’s lots of unknowns in the playing squad atm.

Normally get a decent feel of things after 10 games but with the turnover of players it may be Christmas until we really know what this squad is capable of.

What was very noticeable today over Wednesday. When we had a throw in especially with Tymon there was no movement for the ball, Did nobody want ownership?

Surely by definition it’s exactly the middle of the table 😅

Tbf I guess in football terms you could go for a top 10, mid table (11th-14th) and a bottom 10 - wouldn’t argue with that either.

If so then I think the target should be top 10 but personally wouldn’t be getting the pitch forks out if we ended up in that mid table group of 4

Is my definition of mid table.

Don't worry, we are due something against Millwall.

The last trillion games have ended 1-0 Millwall so the law of averages is that we are due something.

What are posters aspirations this season - for me I would prefer to cement ourselves in a top ten place, work to continue with our excellent summer recruitment programme and move on from there. Having said that, should we find ourselves challenging for a P/Off place come next season, go for it.

In any other universe you would be right, this is Swansea City after all 😂
