Key screwed up three promising attacks in the second half when we had broken their defensive line. Seems to have lost his composure and end product this season

I guess decisions do even themselves out

Lots to learn again. I think the main one is we’ve got to be more positive when on top (or the opposition are playing badly). First half they were there for the taking but it was almost too easy and we were just content to knock it around without creating anything.

Second half, Blackburn played with a much higher tempo, right back must have put in 10 decent crosses, we had Vigs to thank and obviously the penalty decision. Great 3 points though - lots of draws tonight which is good news.

Interesting selection decisions for the weekend. I’d like to see Cullen behind Vipotnik at home from the start.

Excellent result. Just seen the goals back as didn’t get a chance to watch it tonight. So good from Franco. Be nice to get something against Leicester.

Positives

1) Points give you breathing room to learn from your mistakes and improve. Can never underestimate any win, no matter how ugly in this league.
2) Idah is starting to impact games in little flashes when he is on the pitch.
3) Vigs is some keeper. New contract please.
4) I do not think anybody will batter us or have an easy game against us this year.

Negatives

1) We had 3 shots in their final 3rd from open play and one from a corner. We just do not know how to get in the opposition box.
2) I think we run out of attacking ideas pretty quickly, related to 1) and we end up inviting pressure and clinging on.
3) Related to the final point in the positives, we can not have every game be this tight or we will destroy our fanbases collective blood pressure!

We need to figure this out because I think we are the among the worst attacking sides in the league.

Take the points and run. Two tough away ties coming up and if we can get 5 points overall, we will be okay.

Need to go with Cullen at 10.
He is best suited there, he can bring players into the game and chips in with goals.

Still don’t think it’s a penalty, Burge withdrew his trailing leg right under his body and the attacker tried to milk it. He didn’t help himself going to ground though

The 2nd goal was very good, I was impressed with Idah going down the right and he gets his head up and plays a simple but effective pass to Cullen...made the finish look easy.

Maybe Idah down the right,Cullen at 10 and Vips up top. Surely goals in that!?
