You could probably have a debate about that in respect of Tom Carroll, but Patino and McEachran did the square root of sod all in a Swansea shirt so quite how you can compare them to Galbraith, personally that is beyond me.

It isn’t about what they produced in a Swansea shirt, I said he reminded me of the type of player they were.

Very technical, quick feet, busy, lots of energy. No coincidence Patino, McEachran and Galbraith are all products of top club academies.

I like Galbraith, I’ve said so any number of times, but yesterday he had a poor game. against Wrexham he had an excellent game and deserved the MOTM award.

I think it’s reasonable to judge a player on actual performance rather than what people think they are seeing.

This happens all the time on here. Some players can do no wrong and some can do no right.

I think he may well go on to be a very very good player and if so we will make a lot of money on him, but at the moment he isn’t as good as some on here seem to believe.

I think we'll be closer to those than relegation come end of season. Difference under matos in a month, with confidence at its lowest, is huge

That Friday match was so very frustrating against the league leaders.

I did, however, feel a huge amount of emotion whilst watching our team go toe to toe with them, which is a vastly different feeling to the numb inevitability of it all that I’ve felt a lot of the time over the course of this season so far.

I’m no longer seeing our players going through the motions as much as I was when they were playing under Sheehan.

The performances, week on week are slowly getting better, and I myself have been roused from my zombielike slumber as a result.

As for the performances themselves being converted into the results that those performances have truly deserved, it’s a case of build it and they will come.

Our home form has improved drastically in a short period of time as well.

During our Prem days I always felt on our day we could beat anyone at home when the stadium was rocking.

By all accounts he’s only scored two goals and one assist in 23 outings, and isn't very productive mun.

One assist in half a season is not a great return for a player who takes a lot of our free kicks and corners.

I think we'll be ok Eteb, but a team that can't cut it in both penalty boxes (and that's us so far all season) is in severe risk of falling through the trap door, there's no two ways about it. We simply have to improve or we're in serious peril. I think Monday is actually pretty big.

On a complete tangent, I have thought for many years that officiating is stacked against us. One of the easiest ways to influence a game we saw yesterday.
How often do our ball winner midfielders or defenders get an early yellow card? Particularly when similar or worse offences get ignored.
Stamenic yesterday was a case in point. What better way to handicap a team then to stop then tackling for 80 minutes?
Conspiracy theories got to love them!

The good news for me, is the home form is improving just at the right time, as my sister very kindly bought me a half season ticket as a Christmas present, which means that I should be witnessing a continuation of the Renaissance under Vitor Matos in house so to speak.

Thanks to the generosity of the club, who also offered up a couple of freebie tickets to anyone who bought a HST for the Oxford Utd and Portsmouth home matches, I got a chance to cheer on the lads when they bagged that historical win against Pompey.

The West Brom clash on the 1st Jan will be the first game of the New Year ticked off using my HST card, and I’m feeling very optimistic for a win.

I will of course be bracing myself for a torrid 90mins plus stoppage time against the WB bully boys, but I believe that we’re more than capable of getting a goal or two against them.
