• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

So , we have the leagues top scorer and he's on the bench. It would only be us doing that. It's not as if there's a quality replacement there for him.

Cullen was also favoured when Idah was fit.. Unless Matos has created a new Cullen lone striker plan.

Cullen lone striker...

It doesn't work

It's never worked

Just why !?
Galbraith back at right back too. Although we may have dodged one there as Jack Clarke (who we couldn’t handle at home) is dropped to the bench. I’d feared for us if he was up against Galbraith. So it’s not just us making strange decisions.

Interesting tidbit on our stats from the Ipswich boss

“I think the intensity they are playing at is really impressive. Their last 10 games or so, they are the team who have run the most in the league in most metrics. They are one of the top teams in terms of their pressing, counter-pressing and possession.

What I can say, in terms of a stylistic and football challenge against a team that are playing with a top intensity off the ball and with a really good structure, bravery and positivity on the ball, and a talented group, I think they are one of the better sides in the league currently for sure.

At this moment we are the 15th best team in the league, with an atrocious away record , so quite where their manager gets all that bullshit from i don't know. It's another resounding beating today I'm afraid.

He deserves another chance after that goal in the last game, and VIP deserves a rest. Matos is still learning but I have faith in him. This starting line-up is a logical build on the second half of the last match

3 game weeks are a challenge ,
Freshen up the team make use of the squad is good .

I would have brought Ward in for today's game and allowed Galbraith to flourish in midfield.

No problem with VP getting a rest to be honest, he can't lead the line for 90mins every game and especially in a 3 game week. Galbraith is a hard call because if you move him to 6 then where does a fresh stamenic play?

No doubt Cullen will be crap for 60 minutes, but little we can do, it's alot to ask VP to play so many games as a player who chases down every ball. Same goes for Franco. Let's see...

"Widell is expected to lead the Swansea attack." from the OS.

Interesting choice...

I'm fine with mixing it up. Don't know what works until you try it.
Fancied us for a point before I saw the starting line up, but you never know. Seems like the rotation is just that. Rest others for more winnable games.
