• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I was about to say the same thing.

We'd have conceded two or three times in open play as well as the set piece if Willy was still there.

I'm not trying to put a sheen on this mind - it's still been crap. Unfortunately I think Eteb is on to something with the Cooper comparison...
Put your hats on for pragmatic football but minus Ayew.

Although not brilliant, I don't think we've played too bad. We have half a team of new players who will bed in and hopefully get better.

Second half has been pretty bad. Still time to nick a goal, but it really hasn’t been good. Can’t be dressed up any other way.
Another crap first day performance, same as last season. Why are we never ready for the big kick off?

Wrong substitutions is a huge problem
We only made four out of five changes

We got Widell playing as a winger when he is a CM or CAM

Cullen playing as a number 10 has been as anonymous as when he was up top alone

Ronald was actually having joy in the second half and got pulled

I can understand Eom being subbed

Didn’t Cooper get us to the playoffs, twice.
He did, but by playing mind numbingly awful-to-watch football that relied on the highest paid player in the division producing magic most weeks. We no longer have that kind of player or that kind of money.

Keep it tight for 60mins and then see from there is going to be a regular plan.
Really hope we get a good striker and a decent attacking option be it centrally or put wide.
Not saying we will struggle but it's going to be extremely frustrating.
