S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Millwall 2 Swansea 1 | Att: 14,242 | 04/01/26 | The EFL Championship | The Den

Apologies JH, you are quite right and as per usual your match day thread amply covers the travel options. My bad, I completely missed it, probably due to my lazy assumption that being a London resident then of course I knew the way!
No I should thank-you. I didn’t know of the disruption until I read your post and Glyn’s posts. Even the Swansea City Guide for the match failed to mention the closure of South Bermondsey Station. Which is massive because I always liked the fact that they now have the walkway direct from the station to the ground.

On my first visit to the Den there was no walkway and we had to have a riot police escort past a Travellers site and through some tunnels. A couple of our supporters having a whack for their troubles. The second time I went the walkway was really convenient. So it surely gives the police more of a headache on Sunday.

So I saw your posts and I researched the other options and changed the transport part of the thread. So Thank-You for your input. It is appreciated.

Bizzare fact. Millwall have scored 1 goal more than us and conceded 1 goal more than us yet are 8 points and 9 places above us. A funny old game indeed.

Sums up the championship - in a nutshell.
16 points between play offs and relegation - all to play for!

Millwall had some really strong form which has since nose dived over December.

Our new, pressing style won't have gone unnoticed by oppo managers and scouts. If you were setting tactics for Millwall on Sunday, what would you do to counter it?

Constantly hit long balls over the top to take out three or four pressers? If they do that, I'm confident Bango and Burgess can cope with that.

What else?

Miwaw either win 1-0, draw 0-0, or get spanked, especially at home. They were third at one point with a GD of -4.

I can’t see a high scoring game here.

If we can maintain the energy levels we've shown recently, I think we'll win. Bit worried about fatigue, compounded by injuries. Then again, I'm sure Millwall are knackered too.

Our success might depend on a strong ref. With our midfield racing around the pitch a cracking way to combat it is to get physical and “leave a bit on them”
Similarly i really hate that cunt Cooper at the back - a few early yellow cards and we may completely over run them👍

Knowing Millwall they'll try and combine being very direct with trying to match us on work rate, especially with their crowd behind them. I don't think they'll have anything more advanced than that to offer.
