• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I respectfully disagree with alot you have said. I keep saying it, we have played a ton of games nearly all away and all based on pressing. Millwall have played half the games over the same period.
So has every other side.

Not posting as criticism.

Should we end Samuels-Smith loan period. I can't see him ready for the first team without a run to improve, but we'd can't risk that. Tymon please stay fit.
Yalcouye needs to stop trying to dribble out of the area, head up and pass when it's on or at least clear up to a throw in.
Also today should Casey have come on instead of Wales and Inoussa left upfront as an outlet with his pace. He also needs to step up as his reading of the game is very poor.

Thoughts? I can take them (y)

I agree about Samuel Smith not being up to the level I've been really disappointed considering how good Chelseas academy usually is but realistically who do we get in that would happily sit on the bench for 6months? it also just isn't a major priority atm imo.

Thought Wales should have come on sooner Vip has looked absolutely shattered since the last 30minutes of Oxford he can't move half the time.

Slightly harsh on Smith. He is young, and did alright considering. Hindsight Tymon should of started but he has played alot. Inoussa didn't really add much. Proberly would of taken off Fulton for Stamenic and Casey for Franco, with Galbraith moved into midfield. Yalcouye, like most of the team was bit off. But it's gonna happen when you have a team pressing you and played half games we have over the Xmas and new year period.

Just think Wales change on 88 when they would throw everything at us called out for an extra defender

?

Not trying to be harsh as he could develop but I don't think he's ready yet.
He won't get the game time here so maybe use the loan slot for someone else

Robbo on Radio Wales said they were taking short corners and we weren't closing their crosses down which is where their winner came from

The Milwall left back by coincidence came out of the Chelsea academy after a loan (i think Sturges is his name)
He was fantastic

Teams like Millwall will always try and bully you, so you know what to expect before you start. The championship is full of skilful players, both short and tall, but they possess physicality.
We seem to have more than our fair share of short, lightweight players ie. Eom, Franco, Widell, Inoussa, Yalcouye, Cullen, and even Galbraith, that continually get barged off the ball.
It was a good battling 2nd half yesterday, but if it wasn’t for our own 6 ft, excellent keeper, we were looking at a 4 or 5 goal trouncing against not a great team.
It is a paramount fundamental, to physically compete in this league. Once your on a par with the opposition on that, then the more skilful players, (who can do both) will eventually succeed.
No matter what your perception of our squad is, or the fine job Matos and his staff are doing with them, physicality on the pitch is a must.
