• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We have some very good players and with the right coach I genuinely feel we can be a force in this division.
The inconsistencies in our performances is down to one thing ..time for a change.
That's it. I always think we have better payers and something is not right. Taken shackles off I think they are far better than what we are seeing.

Inconsistencies? We are very consistent. Too consistent if anything.

We have been pretty decent, but as ever it all falls down in the final third due to a total lack of any sort of quality.

Cullen and Casey off, Yalcoure and VP on for me.
Idah is doing alright, but I wish he'd drop his fancy flicks and backheels in the penalty area which go to no-one. You've got to take responsibility, lad, you've got to somehow turn and shoot. Like you did at Charlton.

Anyone else think Cullen should of got penalty? Studs up and into the leg. The officials are really poor.

Half time thoughts:

This 5-4-1 experiment of Sheehan's is not working. The lack of a central attacking midfielder to bring other midfielders and wingers into play is telling, while some nice football on the deck was played most of the game was long hopeful punts into channels or up in the air to Idah which just came right back at us

The goal was an unstoppable hit, two goalkeepers wouldn't have saved that. The only thing I can be a bit critical about is that someone could have given Casey a shout that he had time, he could have chested that cross down and cleared properly rather than that awkward stooping header which was just begging for someone to give it a hit.

Idah's annoying little flicks are pissing me off. There was one in particular around the penalty spot, the ball was planed to his feet and rather than take a touch and try to find a shooting angle or play someone in he tried a clever little flick to exactly nobody outside him.

Widell has been doing good work, but on the wing is not where he wants to be. He should be playing in the 10 position behind the striker. Him and Cullen on the wings gives us zero pace to threaten them down the flanks and so we need to pass our way past them to have any reasonable opportunities

At half time we need to hook one of the center halves for Eom or Ronald, put them on one flank with Cullen on the other and Widell behind Idah. But Sheehan won't change his formation he would rather die on that hill than change it.

Fug me, where do you think you are …Soccer Saturday??

How tf did the ref miss the corner then
Same way he missed their player practically german suplex Franco but still play on without giving a foul

The penalty shout on Cullen I think most refs wouldn't give that, VAR would probably call the ref to look at it as it was definitely late with studs up in the box but with bodies in the way and in real time that one I can say its fair if the ref didn't see it.
