• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

This squad was never meant to challenge for the automatics. This was a summer of a huge squad turnover. Throw the spaghetti at the wall, see what sticks and fill in where needed in subsequent seasons.

No one can deny that this squad is not performing up to their capabilities. As long as we're realistic that this squad, starting where we are now, should consider 12th or higher a huge victory.

Matos wasn't hired to be a miracle worker. He was hired to build a project. His experience with moving young players into 1st team roles is why he's here. I would fully expect us to strengthen the squad in every window we can afford to do so, staying just this side of PSR.
Staying just this side of league 2?

Why take Vip off when your 2 down at home to Derby.. go 2 up top and go more direct

Well, the new guy knows what he's been lumbered with now.

Anyone knocking him after one afternoon with the team though.

Although I do suspect that a certain poster who's only ever knocked the team and/or manager is really a scummer.

That was all bollocks, of course, I am 85 posts from getting my Player Name, so any excuse to bulk up my numbers. In reality I wonder why you and the other miserabilists are still bothering to turn up on here.
You won’t be so chipper when you see that the first player name is Ronald.

You have a real problem with him don’t you…bordering on the unhealthy.
I have honestly spent so many years sitting oppposite ‘consultants’ who are exactly like him it makes me want to scream. They (and he) sound as though they’ve read every one of those ‘how to manage a team’ or ‘how to become rich’ books that you see in WHSmith at the airport. And virtually every one of them is a charlatan. Just vomiting out American influenced platitudes and management speak.

It was so obvious from the start that he was emperor’s new clothes it was unbelievable.

I have never disliked a manager as much as I disliked him. And I’ve been watching us since 1976 so that’s saying something.

It’s only a game though. I’m quite happy to never think about any if this for the majority of my time.

Expected more than losing 2-0, looking disjointed, struggling to get the ball off the ground for crosses.

Glad there is a plan, I can rest easy now 👍
What did you expect? This bloke was going to come in and turn us into 2009 Barca in one training session?

We look just a shit as we have for the last month. Did you truly expect differently?
