• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I have honestly spent so many years sitting oppposite ‘consultants’ who are exactly like him it makes me want to scream. They (and he) sound as though they’ve read every one of those ‘how to manage a team’ or ‘how to become rich’ books that you see in WHSmith at the airport. And virtually every one of them is a charlatan. Just vomiting out American influenced platitudes and management speak.

It was so obvious from the start that he was emperor’s new clothes it was unbelievable.

I have never disliked a manager as much as I disliked him. And I’ve been watching us since 1976 so that’s saying something.

It’s only a game though. I’m quite happy to never think about any if this for the majority of my time.
I have sat in exactly the same sort of meetings.

I get what you are saying but I expected a response atleast. Matos has a huge job on his hands and it's nothing aimed at him tonight.

Club has been killed my mismanagement and the appointment of Sheehan.

I think it's become very clear tonight that we are in a right battle this season and the players are an absolute mess currently.
Absolutely agree there.

I am not going to criticise the new manager for the rest of this season because he needs miracles to get something from this squad.

I can't believe how bad the passing has been tonight, I hope it's to do with Sheehan's coaching rather than the players abilities. So many bad performances from individuals tonight.

First half much better. Second half we just looked like we couldn't be bothered. You cannot judge this match for Matos. You get a horrible feeling about the way we are playing like it's a relegation team. But it's still early days. Got to give it time. Alot will be learnt from this match.
