S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 1 Derby 2 | Att: 14,251 | 25/11/25 | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

I doubt anyone’s watched his 12 games in Portugal. Dimbo will have analysed his stats though and the clockwork gorringe will have studied his PowerPoints. They need to be under the microscope, ‘prompto’

That said, he’d have to be a moron to watch that and not have a good idea of what’s needed. Every other single person in the ground will have. We need to get Allen, Britton and O’Leary off the gravy train tit too. Total reset required. The club has become stale and out of touch with current football reality.
They must have watched them surely!

My worry (OTT after 90 minutes, I admit) is that we’ve hired another manager who wants to fit the players into his specific style/system as opposed to playing in a way that suits the strengths of the players in his squad.

Definitely needs his own staff in asap.

I hate criticising individuals but, the West Stand cheered when Ronald’s number came up on the board to be subbed.
We must have had 8/9 international footballers grace that pitch this evening and it was utterly pathetic.
We are getting destroyed on the flanks.
Derby didn’t get out of first gear, all they had to do was lump it forward and push up.

I spent many years working with American lawyers and consultants every single day. A few of them were genuinely the most frustrating people I’ve ever met. On one project they all wore matching t shirts with the company logo on them. Every day. They had them in every colour. One group had a motivational corporate song that they shared with us one morning. The London staff were under their desks laughing.
I swear we pay a grand a day to bring in someone who most often just repeats what internal staff have said for months but been ignored because they are not "consultants"

I personally think Galbraith is our best holding midfielder, not seen anything in Stamenic so far and I don't rate Franco. I think Galbraith will get us playing with a quicker tempo.

I am at the stage now where I would play the Brighton kid with Galbraith, Benson and Eom on the wings and starting with the two strikers, old fashioned 4-4-2. Inoussa hasn't done anything so far and Ronald should not start again this season.
I disagree with Stamenic, he moves the ball quicker and is combative.
We won't see us start a game with 2 up top, we don't create enough to allow it to happen but I would like to see Idah on the right instead of Ronald.

Oh there was a glimmer

He took Cullen off

Listen it’s way too early to judge the manager but I’m pretty certain no other club would have taken such a huge gamble if they were in a similar situation to us.
Credibility with the players is going to be huge as well and I don’t think being part of Klopps back room team is going to wash.

Surely the Fulton pick, had to come from Leon & Joe ?
Wtf were they thinking considering we’re at home, and Mantos said his intention was for
fast attacking, and fast pressing football.
Did they both not get the memo?

Good luck to him implementing that, after he had to endure 180 + minutes of gutless, shapeless “football “ in his first 2 matches.
I’ll keep saying it until the cows come home, the buck literally stops at the top table.
Not enough football nous or intelligence in the recruitment and scouting dept, has brought the inevitable results we are currently also having to endure.

Yep - there’s a lot of that goes on. I’m sure the NHS would have quite a lot more money to spend on clearing waiting lists if they didn’t spend quite so much on consultants at a grand a day.

In this particular case I can’t believe there are enough stats regarding Matos to have made the appointment that way.

I’m fairly certain we must have had a recommendation from someone.
Yeah, this definitely wasn’t done purely on the data, I think Gorringe said the data across his 12 games got him on the initial short list but he impressed in the later rounds of interviews.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was an initial recommendation because it seems strange that data across 12 games would qualify him for our shortlist.
