• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Were they gutless or were they outplayed by another physical team (like Ipswich) who got away with some foul play because they knew how to play the referee? Sone of our players (eg Ronald) felt like they played the ball back too often rather than taking on their opponent, but it didn’t feel at all like they all did?
They did start off playing with more energy than usual and seemed like they wanted to impress Matos but it faded towards the end of the first half and just became like every other game we see down there, slow and ponderous.

We wait for the opposition to get back into shape, nobody bothers to move to create space or a passing option for the player on the ball and we just look generally clueless.

73% possession and we had 4 shots on target (1 fewer than Derby managed with their 27% possession)

If you're going to set up like Liverpool, you need two new centre backs who can play a bit, because I can see straight away that Cabango and Burgess will cost us goals playing this way.. because we've seen it before, if you get Cabango in a foot race it's curtains and Bereton Diaz setting traps and targeting his footballing vulnerability at this level will result in the goals conceded column.. this Swansea way rhetoric needs centre backs who can simply pass a football, and we haven't got them.. so just in advance, before other teams exploit them over and over.. you've got to adapt to something that makes them comfortable in a system, tonight, they were a car crash
If we set up like this season's Liverpool, we'll definitely end up going down!

At some point we have to start trusting the players we develop. It would be nice to bring them into a winning team, but could Congreve be worse than Ronald or Benson? Or Parker worse than Key. Hard to see how.
I was wondering this today. Surely the full backs in the u21s can't be much worse than key?

Fergie lost his first match as Man Utd manager 2-0.

That was also in November.

At this point I’ve run out of positive omens.
