I don't believe that for one instance.
Someone was guided in the direction of Matos by someone else and that got him on the shortlist.
It's as much truth as Matos was their no 1 choice from the start, I don't expect them to come out and say he wasn't but I didnt expect it to be said that he was when clearly he wasn't.

I got to add that I have nothing against Matos, he has my full backing and can't be judged on tonight's game. Gorringe has put serious questions in my head, he is young and believes he is being clever but it's starting to show that he along with a few others are out of their depth.

I’ve started to question Gorringe recently too. I think he has a shrewd business mind as proven by his appearance on that podcast, he came across excellently and is clearly good at the commercial side of things.

Football decisions are an entirely different matter though. If you ask me, we should be employing a Director of Football or whatever the equivalent is these days.

I just hope we don’t go down, would the owners lose interest? Who knows.

Eustace said they had targeted an area of weakness for their first goal- defending on our right for sure. Both Ronald and Key AWOL when we had our whole team back. Just basics and we are behind. I’m sure any decent coaching team can rectify that. All that inverted full back crap under Williams didn’t help.
Melker to start please and Yalcoue as a sub and no Ronald or Cullen in the starting lineup

It's encouraging he highlighted that we need to speed things up, overlap etc and get more people in the box. I defo think we saw a small glimpse in first half of what he wants. But we started to go into bad habits in second half. For me this is gonna be more about man management than anything else. The style will come, but he needs to put confidence into these players. He is reported to be good at this so let's see
