This with knobs on, but I reckon he’ll play Cabango, EOM and Ronald to start. If he doesn’t pick Widell he’s an idiot.

So come on Al. Learn, then you’re more secure.

Widell was superb. The lad never stopped running and was really positive on the ball. He worked a lot better with key in the first half than Ronald ever does imo.

Benson has thoroughly disappointed me with every performance from him I have seen.

He is simply not the player he was anymore during that Burnley promotion season, he always goes backwards with the ball, hangs onto it for too long and easily gets out muscled every time a defender gets tight on him.

The first goal was made by Widell's pass to Key, it was ahead of him into space for him to run onto rather than played at a walking pace to his feet where he was standing two seconds ago.

For a while tonight Sheehan out witted Pep.
Lets carry on with how we started tonight on Saturday.
5 at the back gives us a better balance...swop Cabango for Samuel Smith Vip for Idah and maybe Stamenic for Franco..

I have been critical of Sheehan but tonight showed what we can do when encouraged to be brave going forwards , I think 5 at the back could be a way forward for us....even giving Key a rest with perhaps Ronald as wing back, or Casey there with Samuel Smith in the middle ,also a chance to rest Tymon with Key,Casey,Cabango,Burgess,Samuel Smith.

Great performance tonight lets take that with us to the Valley Saturday

Fulton, Benson, Cullen, Ronald all weakened us.

As trendy as it is to bash Fulton I thought he was by far the best of those four. That charge back and tackle that he did got a grand reaction. He didn't disgrace himself IMO.

The game was shifting in their favour by that point. Maybe we aided the process by making those changes but I wouldn't necessarily blame the players involved.

Really proud of that tonight - city didn't have a clue what to do for the first half hour

Widdel and inoussa have got to start every game now. I'd go with 3-4-3 again also

LBh 1 game lost in 10 they are, we cant complain, class was evident in places . sadly IMO our loose defence defending let us down in the end.

Good performance from us first 20/30 minutes but their quality coupled with our tiredness were the deciding factors in the end. Every player can hold their head up high tonight.

My major standout was Casey tonight, he was superb and was never on his heels and read a few of their through balls and nullified the attacks with a block or tackle.....9/10 for the lad tonight 👌

It was all about fitness, City play at that intensity every week, there is a reason why they're at Man City and not Swansea.. we could only compete for 45 minutes, and our subs didn't impact the game in a positive manner, but if Widell and Franco would've stayed on, a steamroller was coming.. the top 1% in any sport, have different gears, the level is a different kettle to what we're used to.. it wasn't a disgrace though

He's a rolls Royce in every game I've seen of him
