Why not start with Ward RB and put Key wide right instead of Ronald and then Galbraith into midfield with either Franco or Widell with Stamenic behind them. Keep Nunes on wide left.

Agree Walta not ready yet and was surprised to see him start but keep giving him 20 minutes at the end.
I agree. Start, Ward on Saturday, move Galbraith into midfield with Stamenic and Franco. Key on right side.

Not sure I blame him for the first half. Walta had looked decent, Fulton has been excellent and we know what Franco can do. For whatever reason it simply didn’t click. I’m sure they will be able to pick something out through their analysis.
We can but it doesn’t mean we should 🙂

It’s good to know Galbraith can play right back (and it’s a decent option for some home games), but assuming we’re targeting a right back in the summer I’d be using the next 12 games to work out what combinations of Stamenic, Galbraith, Franco, Widell and Walta work well together in readiness for next season.
Yes, agree with all of that.

Poorest first half I’ve seen live under Matos but could have won in the second with the Yalcouye chance and so many wasted uncontested headers. Think the initial selection proved wrong even though I may not have said it at the time.

There might be a lesson in there about having that control in midfield, having a Stamenic or a Galbraith in there is a must for games like that imo, glad that we saw what was going wrong and corrected it at half time.

You can see we aren’t the finished article yet but there is potential there. Best showing from Nunes, excellent ball for the equaliser.

Can’t judge Walta on that for me, we had no attacking momentum in that first half, would have been difficult for anyone to look good.

As for the spectacle and everything before the game, it’s mission accomplished. Swansea City Football Club is being talked about in all corners of the UK, and wider still. This particular seed of growth is developing well.
We’ve also made the BBC news at 10pm.

We are massive.

Keys best game in months, arguably all season
Freed Galbraith to come into midfield and dictate the tempo

Cullen and Widell and Nunes all contributed

Webb can fucking do one though. Never seen a more bent referee
Yes when I saw Webb was the ref I had a bad feeling but fair play to the subs and second half attitude we more than deserved a point.

Very strange night given all the hype over the last 48hrs that I feel was reflected in our 1st half performance.

Matos got the subs right. Ronald the poorest out of the 2 wingers 1st half,Fulton had an off game and Walta was lost in the headlights unfortunately.
I think it shone very brightly tonight that Galbraith is far better in that holding midfield role than he is right back and Key done very well when he came on.
Preston are a right horrible team and we struggled with that until we brought more tempo into the team 2nd half. It seemed like one of those games and whatever we done would never see us hit the net until Cullen showed that desire right at the death.

The ref was a right banker tonight. I didn't think any of our penalty calls had any substance from being at the game but he just let PNE get away with plenty.....only to then book Tymon first!

Fantastic occasion.
Wrong team selection to start couldn’t match PNE’s energy, put it right at the start of the second and it was a different game.

Not going up not going down, time to end the Galbraith full back experiment and build a midfield around him.

PNE horrible side to watch , different starting side and it would have been a perfect night at the Dogg house.

I really like stanamic but Galbraith looked mustard in the middle.
Key played fantastic and if can continue like that and no major defending brain farts then him and ward can battle for RB

Far too intelligent a footballer to play RB.
He moved the ball far quicker and was very reminiscent of Leon Britton in that role tonight.

If we carry on with him at RB then it's just going to be wasteful.

Might be an option to see Stamenic play further forward in midfield, Galbraith as a holder.

Just because he might just score
I think people just get frustrated with Cullen because he has the ability and a player approaching 27 needs to be more consistent.
I like him, he's a top player when he is on it but certainly can frustrate.

He was good when he came on tonight.
