• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Watching the match last night, I thought Sheff Utd will be no pushovers. It was largely a reserve team until they needed to bring on some class replacements to get back into the game, but they put up a good fight.
I thought full back McCullum was class, and of course Hamer and Campbell when they came on. Soumare was lucky not to get sent off for a disgraceful piece of thuggery which the ref missed. The captain Jack Robinson got booked for dissent and was lucky not to get sent off as he continued to wind the ref up. He's very chippy. Wonder if he'll be selected against us.

How shyte is Kyogo for Birmingham? Couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo.
And I hope Swans players are noting how easy it is to wind up the Sheff Utd captain Jack Robinson.
There is a lot of talk he is going to Wrexham. Not sure when or if it is going to happen?

The key to this game for us is targeting their fullbacks. They play a 4 at the back but the fullbacks play as wingbacks leaving gaps out wide for Ronald and Inoussa to exploit.

They are also not strong at CB's either so we need bodies in the box when we get behind their fullbacks.

We really need to be disciplined and organised defensively as this will be where we can win.

Hamer v Franco will be intriguing

I hope Hamer V Franco goes quietly unnoticed so I don't have to hear Franco's Zombie song, absolute cringe.

Do the club know there's issues with the ticketing website ahead of this game?
Shedloads of seats left for this one.
And you can't purchase via the ticketing website as it won't load the map of the ground to choose your seat.

Yes, the Ticketmaster site has been pants for some time. I've had to phone the ticket office each time.

If Sheehan picks the correct team on Saturday we have as good a chance of turning this lot over as we've had in several seasons. Just seen a press conference with Ruben Selles and he was absolutely raging at their lack of transfer activity so far this window, seething he was. It does not strike me as a particularly happy camp there at the moment.

Sheehan's time in charge last season showed that he has a tendency to go conservative with his teams for away games, but pick more attacking/expansive teams at home. I hope he continues with that on Saturday and doesn't go conservative because Sheffield United are among the favourites to get promoted.

He gave the team a post match bollocking on the pitch as well on the weekend.
